 Farnum Family

The Farnum Family is an active home-school family band consisting of six children all performing American & European-originated folk music from the early 1800's thru mid-1900's.  With influence gleaned from bluegrass, folk, gospel, Irish, old-time standards, and cowboy and western, their diverse blend of music is styled in an almost-traditional string-band manner – with 5-string banjo, fiddle, guitar, mandolin and upright bass, supported by piano and occasional harmonica.  Their homespun and entertaining presentations – whether for theater concert, church congregation, school assembly or RV Park – include appropriately supportive historic dialogue, instrumental exhibition and singing – to captivate audiences, young & old.

The Bruce & Elaine Country Shindig Show

The Bruce & Elaine Country Shindig Show is no slap-stick comedy, just excellent traditional country with a little gospel (it’s not real traditional country without a little old-time gospel), a patriotic tribute, a great old rock-n-roll or rock-a-billie or two, one or two original songs (always done in the traditional style) and, on occasion, a wonderful song from the romantic 40’s is thrown in.  Good family-style entertainment just like Nashville USED to have with impeccable vocals by Bruce and Elaine, Gene Bender, Bruce Wutzke and a an array of sought-after entertainers, to include Terry Smith, Pam and Sherwin Linton, Red Johnson, and The Cowboy & The Hobo.  Audiences are returning to enjoy a brand new show week after week.

Bruce & Elaine Nelson have turned the RGV upside down with their great traditional musical style and tongue-in-cheek humor, teasing and bantering with each other, the Shindig Band, and the audience.  The Bruce & Elaine Country Shindig Show is a foot-tappin’, hand-clappin’, tear-jerkin’, soul-searchin’, smile-breakin’, memory-makin’ show with something for everyone.

With a repertoire of over 300 tunes, Ruthi is a fun easy listen. Even if you think that country is not your cup of tea, she’ll make you think again. You’ll hear an energetic array of old country, country line dance, old rock & roll, blues, gospel, lively vintage favorites, and for the right crowd an occasional poetic tale.  Whether she’s singing from the heart on an old big band tune or getting cocky with some rock & roll; her smooth easy style will captivate you.

She can get the roughest crowd up dancing and singing or engage a group of children and have them hanging on every word; teenagers actually stop and listen and the old hearts remember when.  Her heart felt delivery of the National Anthem (acapella) has become a favorite among NHRA Nostalgia Hot Rod Reunion patrons. In the midst of all of this she still finds the time to share her natural talents with her hometown senior centers.

Lynn Dvorak

This veteran singer/songwriter/band-leader and multi-talented musician has entertained audiences around the U.S. for more than 40 years.  He currently performs on the latest state-of-the art equipment by Yamaha, Roland and Peavey, now featuring Yamaha's newest TYROS keyboard.  He creates, arranges and blends all of his own background music to enrich his unique sound.  He does not use internet-downloaded accompaniments or any type of karaoke in his arrangements.

Lynn has long been a favorite of all veterans’ organizations.  His patriotism is a deep-felt emotion that is easy to see and has inspired him to contribute countless hours of free entertainment for the nation's veterans, both at their retirement homes and also for fund-raising efforts on their behalf.  His performances always end with the audience participating in a stirring version of "God Bless America."

Combine Lynn's versatility on the keyboards, a touching vocal quality enabling him to sing many of your favorites along with a bit of good, clean humor and you have an evening of song, dance and just plain "fun" that you will long remember and treasure.  Not only will his lively music please you, but you might just want to "trip the lights fantastic" as well!!
